9th Annual International Research Conference on American Studies

On November 17, 2016 American Studies 9th Annual International Research Conference was held at the International Black Sea University. At the opening the Deputy Chief of Mission of the United States Embassy in Georgia Nicholas R. Berliner made a speech appreciating the functioning of the American Studies multidisciplinary English program, as the basis for the International Black Sea University-US Embassy cooperation and underlined its importance for the development of Georgian-American relations, that started 25 years ago and has being consistently developing since then. Rector of the University Prof. Dr. Ilyas Chiloglu, The Dean of the Faculty of Education and Humanities & Coordinator of American Studies program Prof. Dr. Tamar Shioshvili also made speeches expressing gratitude for the enormous support the U.S. Embassy is extending to the American Studies program students & professors through providing invaluable library, inviting renowned American experts & professors from prominent American Universities for professional development.
